Team work makes the dream work is a phrase that holds truth on the gridiron, baseball diamond and in unified communications. As the industry enjoys a front row seat to a cloud-based coup, it is important to remember that exceptional communications is far more than a UC or UcaaS deployment. This is simply a first step, as in many cases the endpoints at play define the experience.
Today, Jive Communications announced a unified communications partnership with Cisco to deliver Jive voice solutions with Cisco’s Multiplatform Phones (MPP). Creating a more complete package, providing end users with exceptional endpoints paired with a robust portfolio of offerings.
“Many of our customers and partners have been looking forward to using these new handsets,” said Mike Sharp, Chief Product Officer at Jive Communications. “Cisco is a leader in the enterprise Unified Communications space and this is going to make a huge difference for many of our partners and customers.”
The Jive user base is strong, numbering in the hundreds of thousands, with some of the largest hosted voice deployments around the globe. Jive services start and end with the Jive Cloud Platform, which enables mobile, contact center, video and voice offerings.
The partners will have their wears on display at a number of industry events, including CiscoLive! later this month in Las Vegas.
“Jive Communications is the first cloud provider in the United States to certify and go to market with Cisco’s Multiplatform Phones,” said John Lamarque, Director of Product Management – Unified Communications Technology Group at Cisco Systems. “We’re excited about the future of this partnership.”
As our SaaSy era continues to evolve, I would expect to see more of the same. It’s one thing to bring a robust offering to market, but it’s another to provide users end to end buying, maintenance and support services. Jive recognizes the value in prudent partnerships.
Smart play Jive. What’s next?
